QUEST KL is great for everyone: friends, families, couples, tourists, locals, student groups, and corporate teams. The challenges are designed for all fitness levels and require only curiosity, teamwork, and a sense of adventure.

 

3. How does the treasure hunt work?

 

You’ll explore KL by moving from one checkpoint to another. Each checkpoint reveals a challenge and/or a clue. All you need is a smartphone and a desire to explore.

 

4. How long does QUEST KL take?

 

Most teams complete the adventure in about 2 hours, depending on your pace. Self-guided teams can move faster or slower according to their comfort.

 

5. Is this a physical or digital experience?

 

It is a physical, real-world adventure with digital elements. You will walk through Kuala Lumpur to checkpoints and complete challenges, while using your smartphone to receive clues, instructions, and updates.

 

6. What locations will we visit?

 

QUEST KL takes you through a curated route around Kuala Lumpur City Centre — a mix of historic landmarks, cultural sites, iconic viewpoints, and modern attractions. Each stop has been selected for both storytelling and gameplay value.

 

7. What kind of challenges will we face?

 

Expect a mix of clue-solving, searching tasks, creative photo and video missions, light physical challenges, and cultural interactions. Nothing is extreme or strenuous — the goal is to explore, think, and have fun.

 

8. What is the difference between Self-Guided and Facilitator-Guided?

 

Self-Guided - You play independently using our digital instructions and maps, moving entirely at your own pace. This option is perfect for individuals, families, casual groups, and tourists.

 

Facilitator-Guided - Our facilitators manage the adventure from start to finish, guide participants, and man the checkpoints. This option is recommended for corporate teams and large group events.

 

9. Are facilitators required?

 

Not required, but for large groups, corporate events, or companies wanting structured team-building, facilitators provide a smoother, more engaging experience.

 

10. Do we need to assign roles like Captain or Navigator?

 

Roles are optional for the self-guided version, but for corporate team-building, assigning a Captain, Navigator, or Clue Keeper helps promote teamwork, communication, and leadership within the group. Ultimately, it's optional.

 

11. How do the QR codes work?

 

At each checkpoint, you’ll find the QuestKL emblem with a QR code. Scan it to reveal the next clue, the challenge you must complete.

 

12. How do we submit our answers or proof of challenges?

 

This is relevant only for The Explorer Game - At the last checkpoint, you’ll be directed to a final submission page to prove that you've done all the challenges to complete the game. For facilitated events, a facilitator will be at the final checkpoint to assess your proof of challenges.

 

13. What language is QUEST KL in?

 

The adventure is primarily in English, with touches of Malay to keep the cultural experience authentic.

 

14. What should we bring?

 

Bring comfortable shoes, a fully charged smartphone with mobile data, and plenty of team spirit. A cap, sunscreen, or a light poncho is helpful on sunny or rainy days.

 

15. Is the activity weather-dependent?

 

QUEST KL runs in most weather conditions. In heavy rain or extreme weather, checkpoints may be adjusted (indoor) or the activity may be postponed with advance coordination.

 

16. Is QUEST KL safe?

 

Yes. The route uses public, accessible areas and the challenges are designed to be safe. For corporate groups, we optionally provide on-site medical support and safety marshals.

 

17. How many people are needed to play?

 

You can play with as few as 2 players for self-guided sessions. For corporate events, we support small teams to very large groups with multiple facilitators.

 

18. How do I make a booking?

 

For retail players, you can book directly through our website. For corporate or special group events, contact us for a customized package, facilitator options, and scheduling.
